Innofer, oral suspension, 100 ml

Innofer oral suspension is a food for special medical purposes containing highly bioavailable elemental iron. It is intended for dietary management of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia in infants (including low birth weight), children, adults, and pregnant women. The product is used under medical supervision.

Recommended Intake

Dosage must be determined and supervised by a physician depending on individual needs:

Prevention of iron deficiency

• Infants and children: 1–2 mg iron/kg body weight per day
• Adults and pregnant women (from 8 weeks gestation): 30 mg iron (1.5 ml suspension) daily

Treatment of iron deficiency and anemia

• Infants and children: 4–6 mg iron/kg body weight per day, divided into 2–3 doses
• Adults and pregnant women (from 8 weeks gestation): 60–120 mg iron (3–6 ml suspension) daily, divided into 2–3 doses

How to Use

• Shake the bottle vigorously for at least 30 seconds to obtain a homogeneous suspension
• Administer immediately after preparation directly into the mouth
• If not consumed within 3 minutes, shake again before use
• Follow physician’s instructions for dosage and duration

Medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) fatty acids, elemental iron, natural lemon flavor.
