Allertec WZF, 10 mg, coated tablets, 20 pcs

Allertec WZF contains cetirizine dihydrochloride, an effective antihistamine for adults and children over 6 years. It relieves symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, chronic urticaria, and other allergy-related conditions affecting skin and respiratory system.

Composition

  • Active substance: Cetirizine dihydrochloride 10 mg per tablet.
  • Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, povidone K-25, magnesium stearate, sodium carboxymethyl starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium lauryl sulfate, hypromellose, macrogol 6000.

Dosage

  • Children 6–12 years: 5 mg (half tablet) twice daily.
  • Adolescents 12+ and adults: 10 mg (1 tablet) once daily.
  • Swallow with water; may be taken with or without food. Tablet can be divided into equal doses.

Indications

  • Relief of nasal and eye allergy symptoms: runny or itchy nose, sneezing, red or watery eyes.
  • Relief of chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives).

Action

Allertec WZF blocks histamine effects, reducing itching, swelling, and redness.

Contraindications

  • Allergy to cetirizine or excipients.
  • Severe kidney problems.
  • Certain sugar intolerances or urinary retention.

Side Effects

May cause fatigue, dry mouth, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness. Rarely: tachycardia, allergic reactions, liver issues, vision problems, urination difficulties. Consult a doctor if severe reactions occur.

Precautions

  • Consult doctor if epilepsy, kidney impairment, or urinary issues.
  • Avoid alcohol while taking the medicine.
  • May cause drowsiness; avoid driving if affected.
  • Not recommended for children under 6, during breastfeeding, or without medical advice during pregnancy.

Interactions

May interact with CNS depressants (antidepressants, sleeping pills) and ritonavir. Inform your doctor of all medications.
