Dimastin, 1 mg/g, gel, 30 g, tube

Dimastin is a soothing gel for the skin that relieves itching, swelling, and irritation. It is suitable for insect bites, minor burns, hives, and other skin irritations.

Composition

• Active substance: Dimethindene maleate 1 mg/g.
• Excipients: Benzalkonium chloride, carbomer 974 P, propylene glycol (E1520), disodium edetate, sodium hydroxide 10% (pH adjustment), purified water.

Dosage and Administration

• For topical use only.
• Apply a thin layer 2–4 times daily to the affected skin.
• Gently massage until the gel is absorbed.

Action

Dimastin has local anti-allergic, anti-itch, and soothing properties. It reduces swelling, relieves irritation, and provides a mild anesthetic and cooling effect for faster comfort.

Indications

• Relief of itching and irritation caused by hives, insect bites, sunburn, minor skin burns (first degree), and other mild skin conditions.

Contraindications

• Allergy to dimethindene maleate or any other component.
• Second- or third-degree burns.

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
